Instead of swallows, the first lookbooks coming out sign the coming of the new spring-summer season. We just got Nubu's new spring-summer collection for 2011. Nubu is famous for loose lines and monochrome colors which can also be seen on the new collection. Now these monochrome colors are brightened with lively canary.

While you have had ready-to-wear collections for women before, you are mainly known as a bags and accessories designer. What do you think is the reason for this?
We would like to open ourselves to a wider range of customers and it was our wish to create a collection that can be worn by women with very different styles. My previous collections were more extreme, bordering on 'haute couture.' They were made in a quite sophisticated way with a huge amount of work going into each one, for example, patchworks needing each piece hand assembled. It was hard to personalize them, which is now possible with this collection. What also makes the collection different is the use of simple, 'untransformed' fabrics.
What inspired this collection?
When we start working on a new season we come up with an overall concept, so there is a lot of thinking done before designs are made or fabrics touched. For our spring-summer collection, the concept was 'baby dolls.' It ended up being very easy everyday wear, but always staying very chic.
Why is it all black?
I love black, especially the shades generated by the movement of black fabrics. The reflection of light is beautiful and always different. It is also very wearable and easy to combine.
You also created a new accessory line made from horn. What can you tell us about it?
The pieces are made from water buffalo horns. This is a common animal in Asia just as cows can be in most European countries. Every year I visit Hanoi or the surrounding area and I study local handcrafts. Their techniques are amazing! This time I ended up producing a complete bracelet and necklace line. Other marvelous brands such as Hermes are also producing their horn accessories in Hanoi.
You presented your upcoming collection Autumn-Winter 2011 in Vietnam recently. Where was it exactly and for which occasion?
The show was in Hanoi for the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the city and the biggest fashion fair in the country. Five designers all connected to the country were invited, among whom were a German designer who works in Vietnam, three local designers, and myself. I was born in Hanoi and moved to Hungary at a very young age.
Are you considered to be a European designer there, or Vietnamese?
Vietnamese see my designs as European, even though this collection was inspired by Hanoi. The city's other name is 'flying dragon' which influenced my choice of fabrics and patterns.

"My new, favorite thing to keep myself warm is my new dress from one of my favorite Hungarian designer brands, Souffle. Boglárka Virág, the designer behind the brand is not only a very talented girl but oh-so-sweet too."

Last Thursday the Ourstyle Boutique organized a fashion night in the Lánchíd19 Design Hotel. A showroom comes soon, where you can see the clothes of hungarian designers( wich you can order online). I've had a little fear, I thought that I couldn't find here anything for myself.

Dóra Mojzes is the most talented and the most creative fashion designer in Hungary. She brings darkness into our wardrobes. Unfortunately she is rarely awarded but famous ladies of the world already discovered our best designer and obtained some pieces from her.
Dóra is a genius. The collection inspired by Jeanne D'Arc is one of my favorites right now. That leather armpiece and the headpiece on the last photo totally rock.
